Exactly five months from today, you’ll have the opportunity to send Tennessee in a new direction. While August 5th – Primary Day – may seem a long way off, I need your help now.
Last week, I pledged to participate in conversations with voters from all 50 precincts in the 21st District. I’m happy to tell you that we’re well on our way to meeting that goal. We’ve lined up several house parties and a meet and greet in the coming weeks – I hope you’ll join us. Here are other ways you can help:
- Sign up to make 5 monthly donations to our campaign. Politicians are often too dependent on PACs and $1,000 donors. We’re running a people-powered campaign and your financial support is essential. Visit our Contribution Page to make a monthly contribution of $5, $10, $20, $50 or $100 over the next five months. Every contribution matters – no matter how big or small – and we need your financial investment to effectively reach out to voters throughout the 21st District.
- Sign up for 5 volunteer shifts for the campaign. Join me in making calls, knocking on doors, and handing out yard signs. Recent politics has taught us that we all have the power to change our community for the better. If you’re willing to commit to 5 volunteer shifts over the next 5 months, just write “Sign me up for 5” in the Notes section of our Volunteer Page.
- Host a house party on my behalf. I want to meet your friends, co-workers and neighbors. Pick a date and we’ll be there!
- Invite me to a candidate forum or debate. I’d love to speak before your local civic or neighborhood organization, and I’m ready to join my opponent and debate the issues that matter most to Tennesseans.
- Spread the word. Forward this message or send an e-mail in your own words, and share your support with friends and family.
Politics, at its best, is about uniting people for a common cause. It’s time to come together and take action for our future. I hope you will join me in my campaign to move Tennessee forward.
